The big community event each year is, of course, Cecilia Days always scheduled on the 2nd Saturday of August and Friday, too.
This year, 2010, there are many events on August 13 and 14.
Friday - Corn Hole tournament at 5:00 to dark; 6pm - Fish Dinner, BBQ Sandwiches, Baby Contest; 7:30pm Little Miss, Master, Princess, Prince, Jr Miss & Miss Cecilia
Saturday - Starts 10am with PARADE and continues the rest of the day with a BBQ chicken dinner plus more food, drinks, ice cream, and entertainment such as TRACTOR GAMES, CAR SHOW, Almost Talent Show, CRAFTS, MUSIC, more corn hole and don't forget the big drawing with great prizes
